Welcome to the poll of the week!! Polling runs through Sunday, September 21st. How to participate: FIRST VOTE on the bottom RIGHT HAND SIDE of the site. Next stop here to tell us which three Book to Screen Adaptation (this can be a book to a movie OR TV show) that you picked for round three. and why you chose your answers. The only VOTES that count are the ones on the actual poll not the comments! This is a round three of three rounds. There will be 25 series for round one, 25 round for round two and 26 for round three. We will have a final round in week four to determine who is the winner from the top FIVE of rounds one through three.
We took the READER nominations from last week, verified them, then put them into a spreadsheet, sorted alphabetically by name and then started at the top of the list for this round.
PLEASE NOTE: We can’t add every Book to Screen Adaptation out there or this would be the only poll we would have on the site ever again.
There are HUNDREDS of fantastic adaptations out there now. Thank you for understanding and remember this is for FUN, it isn’t for a prize or prestige.

It was hard to pick three… but my choices had to be
The Princess Bride - an ex friend had me read this one and it does follow the book pretty good.
The Hobbitt (okay maybe because of the hot dwarf) and Stardust
Which hot dwarf? LOL
This was super hard for me to pic because so many of my favs were in it this week.
Kili - the dark haired twin
I think most of my favorites were last weeks poll but I went with Princess Bride (it is so quotable!), To Kill A Mockingbird (which is just a great movie by any measure), and Hunger Games.
By and large, the screen adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander is absolutely the most breathtaking, heart-pounding, visual you could ever want. They have stayed true to the book for the most part and have a devoted following of thousands of viewers.
Outlander was in last weeks poll & since it finished top 5 will be in the final round (next week)
Yay!
LOVE To Kill A Mockingbird (Gregory Peck, swoon!), and The Princess Bride is indeed pretty close to the spirit of the book.
I wanted to pick at least a couple more, but finally went with The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood. And this just reminded me I still haven’t seen The White Queen. I’ve built it up so much in my head I hope it doesn’t disappoint me.
Oh snap; I just looked at the poll results and totally missed that The Princess Bride and Hunger Games were even choices! Oh well, I would have just sat there agonizing over my picks even longer.
That was beyond hard. I think there was only one or two I have not known. I stuck with the old one with “To kill a mockingbird”, “The Green Mile” and “The Help” deserves a vote.
I picked The Green Mile which was a very close adaptation of the story which first came out as a series of chapters just like Dickens did with Oliver Twist, and The Walking Dead because I also watch the Talking Dead where the author explains how they have adapted for the screen, and The Chronicles of Narnia. I would have voted on if I could To Kill a Mockingbird, The Help,The Bridge,The Hobbit and The White Queen all good screen adaptations. True Blood followed its own storyline completely off the books only thing similar was the main character Sookie
To Kill A Mockingbird and the Hunger Games for me.
I see a lot of my favorites on the list, so I had to vote for those that I love the most: Stardust, The Hobbit and Twilight Saga.
There were a lot of good choices again this week, but I voted for The Hunger Games, The Princess Bride, and The Shining.
