I’d rather just read but if I had to be in a book I’d HAVE to be the heroine ;).
I’d be the person/being/entity the hero(ine) goes to for wisdom, council & advice. Like the Bob the Skull is for Harry Dresden. Less chance to get shot, stabbed or spell-blasted that way.
I would be the hero/heroine, the animal or the sidekick….
I went with just want to read, heroine, bystander. First and foremost, just want to read. But, if it’s a super hero that I wouldn’t mind for myself, totally go with being the heroine. But if it’s a murder mystery or the like, just the bystander - they don’t necessarily get killed off. LOL

I’d be the consultant…the person who provides the key to resolution.
I voted for ‘I just want to read.’ I’ve had a hell of a year; I can’t think about all the crazy stuff I read about happening to me.
I would love to be part of team that kicked some butt when needed. I would love to have powers and the ability to shift into an animal of my choosing. I would work alone, but have others available when needed. That doesn’t sound “too proud” does it??!!!
I want to be the witty kick butt sidekick…who the villians never maim,kidnap or kill =) All the fun and none of the center stage stress

i would be a side kick, animal or seconde cast of character. i like the idea of being able to help the hero(ine) without being in the first line to be shoted at, hit etc
Management or secret council member for sure. They seem to have a handle on what is going down - if not there is something terribly wrong then the heroine or hero needs to unveil their identity and solve the problem.
Management/Secret Council, Sidekick (of the witty persuasion), and then a villain just for kicks! Of course, I really just like to read.
