  1. I tell them in person and write reviews that go to FB and Twitter. For some reason my vote for social media didn’t go through :(.

  2. I hear people bitch at the bookstore that the newest book for the series they want isn’t there & then direct them to similar series they might like. (Man, if Jim Butcher knew how much I’ve been flogging his books over the years…)

  3. Tell people at bookstores, library, grocery store…anywhere I meet them where there are books. Aside from giving/loaning my copies out, I’ll also post it on FB and reviews.

  4. I post a raving review everywhere and tell all my reading friends and some non reading friends too

  5. I talk to friends about it, usually give it as a gift, and will mention it on review sites when someone asks for recs…

  6. I share, share, share.. in person, online, in public, and then.. buy them the book if they’ve already blown their book budget for the month! lol

  7. I chose ‘in person’ and ‘social media.’ I write mini reviews on goodreads, and have a couple friends I talk about books I like with over fb.

  8. I tweet about it! All my book-loving friends are online, so I make sure they know what an awesome book I’ve read!

  9. I usually tell people about the books I read, if I find they like the book, I may give them my copy to read and for certain authors I will post a review of book

  10. If I’m doing it as part of a review for my own blog, then it gets sent to my site obviously, but also social media - or 5 stars at Goodreads. But, yeah, most of the time I tend to keep it to myself - I tend to be a different audience from most that follow me or even my Mom. LOL

  11. I tell people in person and I post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads, etc.

  12. Use social media to let others know….write a review….

  13. I take my work breaks outside (weather permitting) and am always reading a book. Anyone who asks me what I’m reading will get an earful, especially if I’m loving the book. Stories that make me laugh are THE BEST because people are always curious what book is making someone laugh out loud (like a loon) in public. I am pretty good about following through with rating on Goodreads, but not always about writing a lengthy review. I also try to remember to use social media in an effort to draw more attention to a book that I’ve loved.

  14. I work at two libraries so I usually talk to patrons about them :)

  15. I rate and occasionally review books on Goodreads and sometime Amazon. I also mention my favorites on posts on book blogs, otherwise I don’t tell anyone much.

  16. I use social media to tell people when I’ve enjoyed a book, mainly, Twitter and Goodreads,

  17. I recommend favorite books to friends and family in person.

  18. tell friends in person

  19. Raonaid Luckwell

Social Media. I forward about their books and stuff… Occasional reviews..but mostly recommendations. People will ask me about new authors so I pimp out my favs.

  20. I share a review on my blog, Amazon, B&N, and most social outlets

  21. Heather Stanley

I do alot of these but it hits the blog and social media first because I can do it anytime of day!!!

  22. Since I check reviews by other readers on many book purchases I try to leave really glowing reviews on books I have read that I loved. Sometimes, if I know someone likes my favorite genre, I will let them know or actually give them the book I have read. When the Left Behind series first came out I was so fascinated by that book I started a wave of reading in my family and soon we were passing books around and through the mail to each other that even the non readers were excited. No, we are not a bunch of raving zealots but recognized a great book. Thats what a good book will do, spark conversation and bring generations together with all kinds of opinions and insights.

  23. I have my review blog and social media attached to it where I tell people about books I read. I also tell my friends that are readers when I come across a great book.

  24. Stacey A Smith

I vote that I use Social Media.

  25. I voted that I tell people about books in person and through social media. When I find a really good book I can’t help but talk about it all the time to everyone I see, even if they have absolutely no interest in books. And most of my favorite authors are on Facebook, etc., so i just share or retweet about them from them. :)

  26. I voted: Announce it on your website or blog.
Every Wednesday I blog about the books I read in the past week. When I love one, I gush about it.

  27. That is 1of the main reasons I use social media, is to find new @& new-to-me authors, books & even discover new amazing publishing houses, like Entangled.

  28. social media
    blog
    in person
    in that order

  29. fb, in person, and buy the book for someone else
