I am alway so leery of YA but this sounds like it strikes the right tone…
I’ve read many of St Crow’s books but not this YA one though I do have several of the books.

These were an interesting twist, I read them all. The only thing that put me off is the teen love triangle. As they are YA that is expected. Lilith Saintcrow is one of my favorite authors. If you don’t like YA try her adult novels.
Huh. I found her grown up stuff too dark, but I might have to check out the YA titles.
This seems interesting. Cover art looks cool too.
