I’m still sad the Vampire Chronicles didn’t make it farther…
I voted for Jane Yellowrock & the Night Huntress. From there it is a toss up between BDB & Dark Hunters
I voted for Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters even though they’re really not vampires. I think this is the best series out of those left in the running. Imo, the story lines are much more diverse than say BDB or Feehan’s Carpathaian seriles. My favorite, L.A. Banks’ Vampire Huntress series, didn’t make it to round two.
I still came away with some great additons to my TBR
Christine Feehan’s the Dark Saga to me is the basis of much of the other works. Sherrilyn Kenyon and Lynsay Sands have delightful series that are fun to read.
Carpathians or Dark Hunters.
My favorites are the Dark Hunters series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, and the Dark Saga series by Christine Feehan.
I really haven’t read any of the top ones, but I went with BDB since I’m just starting LOVER AT LAST.
I just voted for the Night Huntress series. I’ve only read one other book/series from the list, and I couldn’t call it a ‘favorite.’ Yeesh, that sounds so negative; I really do love (well ‘loved’ I guess) the Night Huntress series.
My first choice was Feehan’s as hers were the first to hook me on Vampires, BDB second and then the Argeneau Vampires. All of these have a really rich history that I love.
As you said, there are so many fantastic series and authors in this genre right now. There could easily be a hundred other names that should be on this list. I am beyond geeked seeing Ancients up there and am appreciative to the group of fans that pushed so hard to make that happen. Thank you for all the effort in putting the polls together.

We Love you & the Ancients of Light Series! I’m so proud that you are on this list! Can’t wait for the rest of the books to come out! Congrats to All the great authors on the list. I have read 3/4 of them & have enjoyed all their stories.
I voted for Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunters, JR Ward’s brotherhood, and Jeanniene Frost’s Night Huntress’s series.

All The Authors are great! I have read most of them! I got hooked by Christine Feehan’s Dark Saga & Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters. I have tore through Lynsay Sands series. I even had release dates marked on a calendar. I have to say though that the day I stumbled upon The Ancients of Light Series was it for me! Love Ancients of Light Series & am also glad to have talked with Heather about her books & the stories! Congrats Heather Fleener So happy for you to be on this lists> Congrats to all the Authors!
Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan and J.R. Ward get my votes, but it was very hard to narrow down my last choices to these three. So many wonderful authors listed!

Harris and Sands were super easy as they are old favs… the problem is the same as always… I read and love them all… sigh
I voted for the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris.
So sad to see my favorites never made the list… so I voted for Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark hunter series, Faith Hunter’s Jane Feather and Sara Humphreys…
Night Huntress is my favorite, but I do also like BDB and Sookie.
I love Laura Wright’s Mark of the Vampire but it’s not here. Also, The Argeneau series by Sands and The Nighthuntress sereis by Frost.

Christine Feehan was my start so I will always love her Carpathians, but since there have been sooo many I have fallen in love with. Lisa Kesslers guys are yummy yummy and my latest fantasy men …lol
