Wolf Fever is book 6 in Ms. Spear’s Wolf series. Enough background info is included to make it a stand-alone read, but reading the previous episodes (
Heart of the Wolf, Destiny of the Wolf, To Tempt the Wolf, Legend of the White Wolf and Seduced by the Wolf) will bring you totally up-to-speed on all the repeat characters.

The Girls with Games of Blood is book two in Mr. Bledsoe’s Memphis Vampires series and is as riveting as the first, Blood Groove. I strongly recommend that you read the books in order. A dark tale with loads of gore, tons of violence and outright racism, it is paranormal horror in a historic setting and will not appeal to everyone. For me, it was a captivating read that I could not put down.

The cover put me off some, but I was pleasantly surprised. These are not normal rotting, flesh-eating, brain-sucking zombies. They have brain power along with their brawn. In addition to zombies, all three stories in this anthology are full of hot gay sex and have good doses of humor. While the sex is described in detail, it is always between caring adults and emotionally-charged. Read More »

This anthology shows a totally different side of zombies and brings these nighttime creatures into the light of day.
Bring Out Your Dead by Katie MacAlister – 3.0: This story was previously published in the 2006 anthology Just One Sip. The main characters, Ysabelle and Sebastian, are also in Ms MacAlister’s Dark Ones series. Though I have not read the series, I still enjoyed this story. The beginning is slow, but things start to move when some quirky paranormals get involved and a string of entertaining events follow. I would have liked this story so much more without the mangled hybrid of French and English used by one character. I found her conversations repetitively annoying. Read More »
