Night and Day by Dahlia Rose

Larkin Day witnesses her partner die in her arms with his insides and his blood splattered everywhere on a roof top. The thing that attacked her partner then jumps to attack her. Lucky for her, someone saves her in the nick of time. Facing a monster, or precisely a gremlin, for the first time is utterly unimaginable and shocking for Larkin. Unlucky for her, the gremlin already marked her for its next victim and will not allow her to escape death. Keaton Knight feels protective of Larkin, so he appoints himself as her protector. Will his skills be sufficient enough to save her from the gremlins, or will their feelings get in the way?

“Night and Day” is a fast-paced story that kept me gripping my seat. From the impressive fighting skills to the bone-chilling suspense, it made me anxious and kept me guessing. The queen’s appearance gives additional merits to the story. Dahlia Rose brings life to the characters and believable chemistry. This story is another great addition to the anthology.

Bonamy & Clyde by Dawne Dominique

Bonamy and Clyde are neighbors. Bonamy, ever the perfectionist, is badly affected when her life gets out of control. Clyde is new in town, but he has already been given the cold shoulder a few times by his neighbor, and that annoys him. When bizarre things occur and electrical appliances go crazy, both of their lives take an interesting turn. Is it just coincidence, or is it something more?

Although the story started out slow in the beginning, Dawne Dominique made up for it by teasing readers with her truth and dare game. The scene itself boosted my enjoyment in reading “Bonamy & Clyde”. However, the characters seemed cold, and I felt like there were not enough emotions and chemistry in the story. I can only say that this is not one of Dawne Dominique’s best work.

The Silver Scream by S. D. Grady

Gilda planned something special for her boyfriend on his birthday. However, their night of passion on the stage in the old theater does not go unnoticed. A pair of eyes watches them, anger rippling through his veins. Gilda and Seth couldn’t keep their hands off each other. But when a freak accident occurs, Gilda changes. Is their love strong enough to fight against all odds?

S.D. Grady caught my attention right from the beginning with the right amount of sexual teasing and passion. The mysterious, evil, dark creature gave off bone-chilling vibes which kept me on the edge. “The Silver Scream” reminded me of why love exists in the first place and the lengths people will go for it.

Lionsblood by Marteeka Karland

Lionsblood by Marteeka Karland is a hot short story between Marie and Klark. Marie always wanted Klark, the lionsblood, but he always able to evade her sexually, so she decides to take it to the next level and bait him out of his hibernation. Though I found Lionsblood to be very short, this is one story full of action and passion so intense it made my blood boil. I would love it if Ms. Karland one day decides to expand the story of them and put more characters and details in it. It would be a blast!

Walking In Memories by L. Shannon

Twin brothers Chayse and Rayce were given a task to find the information needed to find Flayvour. The person who holds the key is Clarice. When they find her, her will was broken and she was wounded. Her memory of the incident was brutally taken from her, and her mind left twisted, hollow and empty. It is up to the brothers to reach out to her and heal her to gain the lost memories. But what they they don’t expect is the strong attraction between them.

Walking In Memories is a continuation from the first book Walking with Synn. As it is closely related to the first book, it is recommended to read all the books in the series in order. This book is not for the faint heart as it contains menage a trois, biting, sucking, and lots and lots of wild sex - in the shower, in an alley and even in the bedroom. L. Shannon left me breathless and wanting more. Walking In Memories is as good as the first book, and I surely can’t wait to read the sequels.

Seducing The Wolf by Marisa Chenery

Billie is tough. Growing up with four elder brothers, owning a gym as the family business and a strict dad has shaped her into an independent woman. When her big brother got wasted at the Wulf’s Den, she practically drags his ass out of the club and back to his wife. Meeting Royce that night ignites a passion so strong that she practically pounces on him. But his rejection puzzles her as she knows he has the same desire for her.

Royce is ancient. After the death of his mate, he swore to never fall in love with another mortal. He is filled with remorse and guilt; blaming himself for his mate’s death, he pushes Billie away. But the wolf needs and longs for his mate. Will Billie’s love strong enough to save his heart and soul?

I became very tired with the villain’s evil ways, the typical plotline and attitude in Seducing the Wolf. Though I love the ending, I feel the story lacked the uniqueness and the attraction elements that the first two books in the series captured.

Wade and Taryn’s relationship requires patience. Just when it has started to blossom, a threat hits from around the corner, targeting Taryn. Wade can’t sit still and do nothing, but the enemy is persistent. He is out for revenge and will stop to nothing.

Taryn’s Wolf, Marisa Chenery’s second book in this series, gives readers another glimpse of her excellent writing skills and her sinfully gorgeous hunks. Taryn’s Wolf has it all: a twist of humor, aggressive pursuance, sexual seduction, burnt food, long hours in bed, and delicious wines.

Beowulf and Roxie by Marisa Chenery

Roxie is cleverly persuaded by Candice to let loose and enjoy herself at a night club. With Candice literally dragging her into the Wulf’s Den. Roxie dressed up and found herself in a club crowded by wickedly handsome men. But nobody caught her attention like the man who tended the bar. She felt a strong connection to him, like she was under a spell and could not avert her eyes away from his as he looked directly at her like he wanted to devour her.

Beowolf is sinfully gorgeous. He wants Roxie the second his nose caught her smell. His body responds to her as if she is the only female that exists, and he does not waste any time in pursuing her. Being a werewolf, his senses tune in to her scent, and he has a very strong urge to make his claim on her. His aggressiveness scares her away and his interest in her sparks the enemy’s gaze. To make matters worse, another werewolf also has his eyes set on her.

The passion and chemistry with a blend of romance and love on the same plate makes the characters come alive in this book. Throw in a prophecy, lots of clawing and biting, with intensely wild mating, this story has all the ingredients to grasp any reader’s attention. I just love the way the story surprised me and how the legend played out its role. It kept me having those “oooo” and “aaaah” moments with every turn of the page.

Marisa Chenery has woven a story full of thrilling romance and emotions. Beowulf and Roxie is the kind of book with a perfect balance of action, romance, passion and love.

Jayd always looks forward to seeing Seth every month but she cannot help but wonder why he only comes to her shop during full moon. One day an unexpected visitor to her shop brings chaos and disaster. She started hearing whispers when darkness comes. His constant watch of her turns from an obligation into an affection and he found himself at her doorstep. Gulliver’s Children by Linda Ambrosia

Gulliver’s Children by Linda Ambrosia is exactly what the title is all about. Linda Ambrosia explores the possibility and depth of relationships between giants and little people. It brings a totally new twist to the concept in the well known book, Gulliver’s Travels.

A plague has made the female giants sterile and the giants were forced to improvise. In order to ensure the continuity of the race, they need wives. Luckily the people of the planet earth have similar genetics as theirs.

Pearl has issues. Having to watch her father consumed by the plague and then drop dead in front of her, left her traumatized and comatose. When she wakes up, she’s a different person. She has changed into a mischievous girl with a fear of heights. Smart and analytic, she questions everything that seems out of place. She loves challenges, full of curiosity and she craves freedom. One day, her curiosity leads her to the capitol, the city of giants, where she meets with the one who will change her life forever.

Linda Ambrosia surprised me with her smooth writing and her innovative ideas with this story. One must wonder how you would make a relationship between a giant and little person work, but Linda Ambrosia portrays it beautifully and creatively.

Lionsmate by Marteeka Karland

Talia is far from a typical submissive human slave. She holds her head high and shoulders straight, and facing a lionsblood does not scare her. She wants him the moment she looks into his cold eyes, but his ignorance makes her mad, so she openly challenges him. He then in turn smells her and buys her.

But he did not expect his journey to the slave farm would bring him to her. She defies him in every way; teases him with her seductive manner; but he stubbornly refuses to claim her. He wants doesn’t want just a mate, he wants an equal.

This is a hot story with intense passion, a lovely sense of seduction and wild, mind blowing sex. A keeper, Dykstra is definitely the lion-man you want growling in your dreams.

Chasing Booty by Shannon Leigh

What a thrilling ride! Ms. Leigh brings us a different kind of intergalactic tale with steamy hot sex in this story. Gaelyn and Reese have been attracted to each other forever, yet both refuse to give in and pursue their lust and desire. They are equally stubborn, but when they connect, their chemistry goes way beyond explosive. Both are bounty hunters and they end up chasing after the same bounty. But when the bounty is the one doing the chasing, they both need to work together and overcome their past issues.

This is an enjoyable book with tons of sex scenes, in bedrooms, in caves, pretty much everywhere that they can. With lots of suspense and action, Chasing Booty will surely keep you at the edge of your seat. This is definitely a must read to those who love a short tale with lots of suspense and thrills.

Book Excerpt: “When cops can’t catch the most-wanted criminals, they hire Gaelyn. She comes from a long line of bounty hunters, including her father, uncle, and grandfather. Extensive training in weaponry, hand-to-hand combat, and adverse conditions have seasoned her into a formidable opponent against any contracted hit, whether male, female, alien, or human. She has little fear of the unknown and thrives on adventure.

Only one other hunter matches her status—Reese, a Trøndite from the small planet of Sør-Trøndalag in the Capricornus Sector. And the man has a knack for stealing her contracts. Both cunning and gorgeous, the mix doesn’t seem quite fair. But attractiveness holds little power over money. Reese had beaten Gaelyn out of a half-year’s pay a scarce three months ago, and she will be damned if he outwits her again. “
