When Sam Cohen accepts a job as travel guide against his better judgment, everything goes haywire. The pace is too aggressive, but the money was too good to turn away-until they accidentally discover what they are carrying and the real purpose of the journey.
Suddenly Sam and his two closest friends are crashing onto a track of death and destruction that has him running from the CIA, local police, and other covert agencies. Every sanctuary he finds turns into a trap and no one can be trusted now that there is a price on his head. He is captured, then rescued, then captured again with death always right at his heels. Escape seems impossible.
Excruciatingly fast-paced, Sam is in a life and death situation from the moment the Tibetan Cross opens and it never slows down. Just when you think he is safe, someone is lurking around the corner with a gun or knife. Every time he trusts someone, a new level of betrayal occurs.
It was impossible to catch my breath. Each time I thought I found a stopping point, my eyes would glance at the next line and drag me deeper into the story. I felt as though I was on a violent roller coaster, gripping the rail and praying that I would not go flying out of my seat. It was painful but awesome.
