Peacemaker by C. J. Cherryh

Peacemaker: Foreigner #15 by C.J. CherryhBren Cameron and his Atevi guards have discovered a corruption within the Assassin’s Guild that is several decades in the making. The timing of its discovery, though, on the cusp of Cajeiri’s fortunate ninth birthday, is less than desirable, though they know they must move quickly if they hope to stem the flood of corruption before its ringleaders manage to disappear.

The safety of Cajeiri’s companions, three human children from the space station, is of utmost priority, and Cajeiri’s birthday celebration must not be disrupted. Bren will have his hands full juggling everything and not allow anything to fall through the cracks.

Ms. Cherryh has once again crafted a very enjoyable trip into the world of the Atevi. Her characters are very true to life and quite enjoyable to visit. The details that she crafts into her stories ensures that you as a reader will come away feeling filled to the brim, lacking for nothing in your mental pictures.

As I read this book I could not put it down. Peacemaker is fun and easy to read, fast-paced but not missing details-a great book that I recommend to readers of all ages.

About Kersyn

Kersyn is an avid reader who dreams of one day having books listed on Bitten by Books. Until that time she keeps up her constant diet of books; read, devoured, savored, and digested. She lives in a zoo with many pets, both four and two legged who keep her pretty busy chasing them all, but in between times of running she has her trusty book at her side. If a book is not in her hands then it is either a cross-stitch or craft project.
