Bertie Anderson enjoys her small town and is always doing something for someone—it’s a way to keep her life fulfilled. But in order to achieve her dreams, she will have to take a job in another city. She is a great interior designer and even owns several businesses, but it isn’t enough. When Bertie’s adopted aunt cons her into doing one last job for her nephew, Bertie thinks she may have bitten off more than she could chew. Keith Morgan is looking for a place where he can raise his daughter. He hasn’t completely left the tennis world behind, but he has finally realized what is important to him. When his aunt gives him an ultimatum to get married or possibly lose custody of his daughter, he ignores what is in front of his face for what he feels is best and proper and not a reminder of his past.
What a wonderful story! Bertie is a colorful character who is funny, sweet and does not seem to know how to say no. However, I wanted to smack Keith upside the head a few times because he only seemed to focus on her outer shell in his search for “the perfect mother” for his daughter. However, he can’t ignore the attraction he feels for her. While frustrating, it was intriguing to watch him as he struggles with the chemistry he feels for Bertie. Harmony is an exciting town with many fascinating characters and I look forward to future books in this series. Find My Way Home would make a great beach read this summer, so be sure to add it to your list of must haves for vacation today.
