It is a pleasure to be here and meet all of you! This release party celebrates the birth of my Keepers of Runes series. Perfect for teens and adults, The Tower of Shadows is full of magic and mayhem. My urge to live action role play my main character was slain by the realization his explosions and swordplay may not be appreciated by my gracious host.
After 22 years of writing for nearly every major publisher in existence, (Harlequin/Silhouette/MIRA, Pocketbooks, Penguin Putnam Berkley, Harper Avon, St. Martin’s Press) and two soap operas (Guiding Light and As the World Turns,) my entire world changes this very week. Twilight Guardians is the first novel I have ever published entirely independently. My youngest daughter is on the cover. My oldest daughter was my editor. My middle daughter did the formatting and graphic design. This is truly a family project.
My dog likes to lick the couch so that when I sit down in shorts, I sit in cold, clammy dog spit. He thinks it’s funny when I squeal and jump up. I swear he laughs. He’s a corgi. Corgis do that. Neither of my dogs can hold their licker.
Wickedly DangerousA couple of years ago, I was chatting with my agent, the lovely Elaine Spencer, about what I was going to write next. Elaine mentioned that she liked my books with witch characters best, and asked if I might write another, different one. I’d written previous books (as yet unsold) that featured a witch-cop in the near future, as well as a Wiccan-type witch in a post-apocalyptic world, all based on reasonably “realistic” magical powers. Have you ever been on a road trip with one of your girlfriends and started telling creepy stories, eventually scaring the pee waddling out of each other? This is by farmy favorite kind of trip, the kind where you talk and talk (in between stuffing yourselves with candy bars and Diet Cokes, of course). 
It also happens to be how my new Entangled romance, Lone Wolfe Protector was born.

Much love to Bitten by Books for having me today, I am excited to be something other than a quiet stalker for once :3 This release party is for the final book In Despair in my Princes of the Blood trilogy, a fantasy series about vampires who are part of a special army that fights against all the monsters, demons, and more that plague their world.
It seems unbelievable and slightly strange that becoming an accountant of all things has been my conduit to happiness! I know, crazy right? But it’s true. Having my own accounting practice allowed me to work from home and surround myself with the things I love—my children, writing, and animals! I had the flexibility to spend time with my kids, spend time writing, and caring for our three dogs, two horses, and cat. What could be better?
