Rose Pascal had no idea why she could not wake up from the nightmare she had imagined upon her 18th birthday. Monsters with scales and scary pointy barbs shooting out of their heads had man handled her to a tent to await her fate. Looking up into the eyes of the man they had brought her to she had hopes that this terror was going to change for the better but his accusations just proved that she would not be waking from this with a pleasant memory. Losing the map to the young strapping man she had spent the night with was a problem, one that she needed to overcome to reach her target. Josslyn Haliday couldn’t help but bring to mind her sister Gemma’s warning to beware the vampire when she was awakened suddenly by a dark presence in the middle of the night. She did not believe in the mythical paranormal creatures as her sister Gemma, the enthrographer, did. She was an archeologist, a scientist, and the facts were that there were no vampires, shape-shifters or mummies, but that didn’t stop her from reaching under the linens and gripping the stock of the shotgun under the bed.
