Hell is over-crowded and Lucifer is steaming about it! Despite repeated requests, the Lord God Jehovah refuses to allow the excess of sinners to go to Limbo, where there’s lots of room. Lucifer next tries an advertising campaign, urging people to do good and go to Heaven: “Has someone recently told you to Go to Hell?… Lucifer wants you to Just Say No. The Fiery Pit is no place for Humans. Do a good deed and go to Heaven. Paid for by the Lord of Lies and the Stay Out of Damnation Committee.”

Even if the campaign were successful, it still would not ease the current over-crowding, though. It might have been all-out war between Heaven and Hell, if not for the idea of a hellish resident to hold a contest between Heaven and Hell, with Limbo going to the winner. And even better, the contest is a reality television show, with Team Heaven, Team Hell and Team Humanity.

Kate Thomas is trying to be a good “best friend,” which is how she ended up at the trailer house of a psychic on a hellishly hot day with her friend, Pam. As the séance progresses, instead of Pam’s grandmother appearing, Kate disappears! She finds herself in the living room of a house on 666 Angel Lane, Allerton, Colorado. And before she has a chance to adjust to where she is, she has to come to grips with why she is there. Kate has been accidentally selected as “Team Humanity” and sharing a house with Team Heaven (The Archangel Uriel, Saint Josefina, Rabbit Zimmerman, and Angel Tosh of the Celestial Choir) and Team Hell (War Demon Michael, Imp Jack, Scheherazade and Miss Withers, Lucifer’s own fourth grade teacher). Kate is not only going to be playing to win Limbo, but also her soul, because she has given her heart to the oh-so-hot War Demon!

666 Angel Lane is devilishly delightful, sinfully sexy and unexpectedly philosophical. It has an exceptionally clever plot, fast-paced writing, loads of humor, passionate (and explicit) sex scenes, a romance to yearn for and characters that redefine the word “character.” Kate is an oh-so-very human woman trying to make sense of the supernatural and just plain weird situation she finds herself. Yet, it is that very humanness that allows her to adapt and put things in perspective: “Michael gave me a stare every woman alive would know. That male superior, women would never understand, look. Nice to know that attitude can be found any place where penises reside.” 666 Angel Lane is a fun, thoughtful terrific ride and read!
