Drew Stepek has penned a gritty, hardcore and daring — an unconventional vampire tale for the ages. He throws back the veil that society has so carefully placed on those less fortunate souls who do whatever they must to survive. He takes us on a gut wrenching ride and uses his voice to illustrate drug abuse, sexual exploitation and the loneliness of those voiceless and forgotten.

There is nothing subdued about Knuckle Supper; it is Splatter Punk at its finest. You will cringe, gasp and laugh out loud. I wish more authors would take a chance and not worry about being offensive and just deliver a unique, gripping tale that offers the reader a one of a kind experience. Take a page from this author and discard convention.

I did not realize how badly I craved something fresh and new until I began reading Knuckle Supper. I will be honest and say that the first few pages had me wondering if this was a good fit, but after the initial shock, I was hooked and did not put the book back down.

This is not for the faint of heart. If you are looking for romantic vamps searching for their true love or sparkly Twilight saga vamps, this will not work for you on any level. If you are open to a new experience that digs deep into the world of despair and survival with characters who haunt you long after the book has been returned to the shelf, run—do not walk—to your nearest bookstore.

Quote – “You’re a slob. I thought vampires were s’pose to be all romantic and musical and stuff.”

I put the bottle back in the fridge. “Fuck that, I’ve never worn a ruffled shirt and I’ve never played the harpsichord.”
